Editorial and Corrections Policy
Curbside News is a headline aggregator. We organize reporting published by independent news organizations and send readers to the original publisher for the full story.
Source selection
Sources must represent an identifiable newsroom or publisher, publish current reporting, and provide a working syndication feed or other publicly available news index. We prioritize community newspapers, public media, nonprofit newsrooms, college publications, and established national outlets. Sources that repeatedly publish spam, misleading sponsored material, or non-editorial pages may be removed.
Ranking and organization
Headlines are organized using publication time, geographic relevance, source quality, duplication, and coverage signals. Similar reports may be grouped so readers are not shown the same event repeatedly. Location controls change geographic relevance; they do not change the underlying publisher's article.
Attribution and links
Every headline names its source and links to the publisher's original page. Curbside does not claim authorship of aggregated reporting and does not apply Article or NewsArticle structured data to third-party stories.
Corrections
Publishers and readers can report an incorrect title, source name, market assignment, broken link, or removal request by emailing [email protected] or using the source form. Verified catalog corrections are applied to the source record; stale generated pages are replaced during the next build.
Publisher opt-out
Publishers can request immediate removal by email. Technical instructions for the
CurbsideNewsBot user agent are available in the
publisher section of the About page.
